Rio de Janeiro is the first in the list of ten cities considered the happiest in the world, according to business magazine Forbes.

The list of happiest cities in the world, published by Forbes, was drawn from the data of a recent survey by research firm GfK Custom Market Research North America and the consultant Simon Anholt, who gathered the responses of ten thousand people in over 20 countries: “Brazil is associated with good mood, a good lifestyle and carnival. The carnival is very important – is the classic image that people have in Rio, and is an image of happiness”, says Anholt.
